The 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedan

The introduction of the CLA-Class and GLA models had some Mercedes-Benz fans worried about the place of the venerable C-Class in the Mercedes line-up. With the 2015 redesign, suffice to say that those worries were laid to rest. It seems the introduction of these new “Baby Benz” models has allowed the C-Class to blossom. The redesign of the 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedan was inside and out. Under the hood, performance was increased with a brand-new turbocharged four-cylinder in the C 300 and a new twin-turbocharged six-cylinder in the C 400. A seven-speed automatic transmission helps to squeeze impressive fuel economy figures out of the engines, while standard 4MATIC® all-wheel drive provides confidence in wet conditions or on poor road surfaces. The look of the C-Class became even more striking with the 2015 model. The proportions and shape has developed to be more in line with the S-Class sedan that is the flagship of Mercedes. This includes a revised grille bordered by updated headlamps, a curved and flared nose, and sculpted side panels. Most notably, the rear decklid has been softened and rounded off, reducing the abruptness found in the previous generation. Surpassing the already-luxurious interior of the existing C-Class was no easy feat, but the change in design language that includes a flowing center console highlighted by class-leading materials and fit and finish certainly raises the bar. This new design language is highlighted by trim throughout the class-leading passenger space. The variety of dash and door trims, plus the different upholstery levels, allow the buyer to choose their level of comfort. 2015 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedan It’s not just the design of the interior that has stepped up, but also the standard and optional features found in the C-Class. This includes a premium Burmester sound system, a navigation system with an 8.4-inch display screen, a rearview camera, keyless entry and ignition, and a head-up display. The vehicle is also packed with some of the latest safety features, including optional partial autonomous steering, forward collision warning, and adaptive cruise control, all to make for a safer ride and a feeling of security.
